Surroundings and climate

Coming down from the apartment towards the sea you will find a winding footpath with spectalur views, which will take you to the beach of Petits Canyelles to the left and to the right you can reach the town center of Roses within a walk of approx. 15 minutes.
In the surroundings you can also find the lovely beaches of Almadraba and a little further Montjoy and Joncols
The idyllic fishing village of Roses is located 150 km north of Barcelona, 15 km from Figueres, where you can find the Dali museum and 60 km from the French border.
It has a lovely center, shaded with palm trees, nice shops, restaurants and terraces overlooking the sea and the fishing port.
At a short distance of Roses you can also visit the Greek-Roman ruins of Empuries and the charming village of Cadaques with its white houses and nice restaurants.

Most of the time Roses basks in warm sunshine, the Mediterranean summers are long, with heat alleviated  by gentle breezes from the sea. Autumn and spring weather is mostly fine and the best time for active travelling with mostly clear skies and agreeable temperatures. The short winter can be wet and windy, however it is not unusual  that the temperatures reach 20C even in January.
